Old piles are different work
A pile down for two seasons has settled, grown into the ground, filled with soil and vines, and frequently houses wildlife. It chips poorly and handles slowly.
It is still perfectly doable — we just price it as what it is rather than as fresh brush.
Chip here or haul it off
Chipping on site and blowing chips into a wooded edge is the cheaper option and keeps the material working for you as mulch. Full haul-off costs more and leaves the place clean.
Keep fresh chips off tree and shrub trunks, and let them age before they go anywhere near a vegetable bed.
Check before you burn
Open burning in Kentucky is regulated seasonally and locally, and the rules change through the year — particularly during the winter and spring fire hazard season overseen by the Kentucky Division of Forestry.
Confirm the current position with the county before lighting anything, especially on a windy day near a fencerow.

Yes, and it is a large share of this work. A photo is usually enough for a quote.
Can I keep the chips?
Yes, and it lowers the price. Tell us where to blow them.
Do you take dirt, stumps, or construction debris?
Woody material only. Soil, concrete, and construction waste go to different facilities.
How is it priced?
By volume and access — how much, how far it has to be carried to the truck, and how well it chips.
